Equipos establishes supplier leadership in industry data standards
The Investment Management Straight-Through-Processing Development Group (IMSDG) was established in 2004 to provide a forum through which organisations in the pension and investment industry could work together to promote the wider use of STP.
IMSDG has members from a range of organisations, including investment managers, life companies, SIPP providers, pension schemes, benefit consultants, third party administrators, management and IT consultants.
Damian Bryan, Founder and Product Director of Equipos Ltd is a significant contributor to the working group for fund performance reporting and is uniquely the only representative of client reporting suppliers.
“Equipos are committed to increasing the efficiency and reducing the cost of fund reporting. We contribute to and support the standardisation of the Straight Through Processing Data model to enable all parties to effectively and reliably report on fund performance.” Says Bryan, a client reporting guru of over 20 years experience in the industry.
Ian Lyall, Managing Director of Idea Group and a co-founder of IMSDG, is very enthusiastic about Damian’s contribution to this important working group. The work of IMSDG is built around collaboration. All of the projects that are undertaken focus on specific data exchanges and how these can be modified to work to agreed and common standards. IMSDG believes that it is essential that any standards that are developed are "open" standards available to all and will look to identify suitable industry bodies to take on the ownership and maintenance of these.
